New Patient Chair
At significant expense, we have just installed a new patient chair in our recently fully re-furbished clinic. Jan and Jenny are looking pleased with the result. These chairs have a great range of positioning allowing our staff to get good access to our patient's feet. Hopefully, our patients' will find this very comfortable.
As we continue to heavilly invest in our business for the benefit of our patients, we have just finished a complete clinic refit. We hope you enjoy the modern fresh look that we have aimed for. An image is included on our home page.
Janet and Jenny have again attended the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists conference, this year at Bournemouth. This is a 3-day event that offers various lectures, and exhibitors of all things to do with Podiatry. The lectures are attended according to personal interest on various topics offered. Not cheap but very worthwhile in being able to attend one large event and meet other professionals to keep up to date. It is noticeable how few other practicing practitioners in this area do not attend the annual conference.
Janet and Jenny have again updated their basic first aid qualification in resuscitation, as they do every year. This is to ensure in the unfortunate event of a patient having a need we are able to handle the issue.
These are proving to be popular and we have years of experience in this field. Many patients have benefited, and continue to benefit from the custom orthotics that we prescribe. If you are suffering from foot-related pain (could be causing back pain) then do ask about this service.
We have this year invested heavily in our business premises to provide our patients with a high-quality environment for the services we offer. Our entrance lobby has been redecorated including fitting a new entrance door. Finally, we have also completely re-decorated all external windows, doors, etc.
This refers to the General Data Protection Regulations. For the UK this new European wide requirement is regulated by the ICO (Information Commissioners Office). This has involved the business in considerable expense in ensuring we comply. Our admin systems (IT hardware and software) and processes have all been updated, and considerable time spent in staff training to ensure we are doing things correctly. It has always been our aim to ensure our patients' data is well-secured and available only to those who require appropriate access. Your information is held in a secure data centre, it is encrypted during storage and also during transit across the internet.
New IT System
We have been very busy in upgrading our hardware and software to enable us to offer a better experience to our clients and also to provide the best possible security of your data that we process. We are now able to offer email booking confirmations and SMS text reminders where we have the appropriate contact data. This is an error-free way of ensuring that you are correctly informed of your bookings and gives you self-service access to check the details without the need to call us.
