Acupuncture Services


Both Janet and Jenny have attended a series of educational course days in the application of accupunture for the treatment of foot related pain. This valuable addition means we have more tools in the cupboard to treat our patients in the most effective way possible when other options are ruled out.


Jan 2016

Staff Training


Janet and Jenny have again updated their basic first aid qualification in resucitation, as they do every year. This is to ensure in the unfortunate event of a patient having need we are able to handle the issue.  Lucy has her updates via the NHS internal courses.  Lucy is also highly experienced in first aid as she works within the voluntary sector providing first aid support at large festival events.

Biomechanical Assessments


These are proving to be popular and we have years of experience in this field.  Many patients have benefited, and continue to benefit from the custom orthotics that we prescribe after full slow-motion gait analysis.  If you are suffering from foot related pain (could be causing back pain) then do ask about this service.

Staff Training


Janet and Jenny have again attended the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists conference, this year at Glasgow. This is a 3 day event that offers various lectures, and exhibitors of all thing to do with Podiatry.  The lectures are attended according to personal interest on various topics offered.  Not cheap but very worthwhile in being able to attend one large event and meet other professionals to keep up to date.  It is noticeable how few other practicing practioners in this area do not attend the annual conference.

A New Arrival


Jan and Tony Thomson has become grandparents for the first time - little Harrison George is now 20 months old and developing into a little rascal.  We are waiting for him to start talking! 



July 2017

Better e-mail Support


With more people prefering to make email enquiries we have upped our service level to try and ensure that we check incoming mail at least 4 times per day to provide answers quickly.  However, we do ask clients to use the telephone when discussing appointment scheduling, as our diary is in constant flux and emails cannot provide the current picture of availability nor can we await confirmation of bookings, as we need keep slots open for immediate availability.
